How to screen share on the Promethean Board from a Windows Computer

  • Turn on the Promethean board. You do not have to login. Touch the menu at the bottom, the three dots. Open Applications. Open the blue Screen Share icon. You can also get to the menu by pressing the large flame icon button at the bottom middle of the board frame.

  • The Panel ID window will open. It includes a unique 6-digit code. Keep this code visible.

  • Login to your computer. Open that same blue Screen Share icon from your desktop. Type in that unique 6-digit code on the Promethean board, enter your name, and select Enter Waiting Room.

  • Moving back to the Promethean board. Tap the Waiting Room in the bottom left corner (the people icon). All connected devices will display – click the user name you entered. Select the Share button at the bottom.

  • REMEMBER. When you are sharing, the Promethean board displays everything on your screen.

  • If you would like to lock something you are sharing onto the screen, touch the Freeze button (represented by a snowflake icon) at the bottom middle of your Promethean board frame. This freezes or pauses whatever image is on your computer. It will not affect what you do on your computer, you can continue working on your computer and the students will not see what you’re doing if the Freeze button is on. Turn it off to deactivate Freeze mode.
